DAY 169: Shop My Closet Holiday Chic

Mood: Under-the-weather

Weather: Gorgeous San Diego Day

Outfit Purpose: Holiday Parties

Style Savvy: Pulling together another navy and black color combination with my outfit. I’m all about putting hard and soft, rocker and feminine … any juxtaposing I can swing and have it make sense (to me) I’ll do. That’s what happened when I paired my feminine silk top by Prêt à Porter Designs (also worn HERE) with my jacquard Zara pants (also worn HERE), velvet Gap blazer and Zara studded ankle boots. Jewelry: Love Tatum fossilized shark tooth ring, vintage Chanel ring, Miriam Jewels earrings.

Personal Style: Holiday Chic

What’s Going On: Thank goodness I had two outfit changes yesterday and took photos of both looks so that way I had one for today since I’m not feeling so hot! It wasn’t planned but it’s always good to have a back up just in case. I woke up feeling fine but once I started to get ready for my day of filming the reality show The Romance, I started to feel shaky and sick. I thought I could rally but it wasn’t happening. Sometimes it’s best to listen to your body, even though I like to forge ahead, I’m wiser now and knew I needed to say “yes” to myself and “no” to everyone else today. Self-care is important otherwise we can’t take care of others and do what we need to do at our best. That’s my experience anyway.
