Style Savvy: Since I’m attending 3 very fashionable Coachella events this Saturday, I’m planning my outfits. I might bring options to change from event to event. I’m a big fan of pairing moto boots or ankle boots with an outfit that leans on the feminine side. It can either make a dress or skirt more casual, rock or glam.

What’s Going On: An emotional day because I’m trying to honor what my heart, mind and gut have been telling me for a little time now. It’s not easy when the heart is involved and you care deeply about someone. I’ve tried something new, something not typical of myself and it’s not working. I’m left feeling not valued, appreciated, wanted, respected and forgettable. I fully accept my participation but I can’t go against what I need anymore. I honestly wish I could be a more casual person when it comes to matters of the heart but I’m not wired that way, especially after 3-4 months of back-n-forth.
I’m a communicator and if it weren’t lacking, then maybe the result could be better. But I can’t always be the initiator of communication. It’s a two-way street. I wish I could pop a Zanax or a Valium but I’m sober and coming up on 9 years in a couple of weeks. Good thing I have Caramel Apple Pie Gelato in the freezer (thanks mom) and Netflix.
