Style Savvy: I’m still digging through my wardrobe finding more pieces that could be fun to wear for my one day in Palm Springs participating in a few Coachella fashion events. I love this fringed dress that I got from Zara several years ago. My sister found it stuck in some random rack and it was on sale for I believe $20 or $30 (can’t remember). The beaded sandals from Forever 21 always come in handy during hot weather and guess what?? I have 2 VIP Tickets to the Forever 21 #Cranechella invite-only event in Palm Springs to giveaway! What’s Going On: Yesterday was better, today not-so-good again. Hey, I’m a woman and hormonal, I can’t help it no matter how hard I try. I probably wouldn’t be AS emotional if I hadn’t picked up my cats ashes from the vet on the way home this morning from doing my TV style segment. I put her to sleep a little over a month ago. Ever since I got the call that her ashes were ready, I’ve dreaded picking it up because I knew it would be hard for me.
I feel relieved that I did but it triggered all the loss I’ve been grieving for the past year – from my divorce, my step-dad dying, moving to a new city, starting over, putting my cat to rest and this on-again/off-again with someone which is now in no man’s land. I’m not asking for sympathy but if I feel like crying, then what’s wrong with that? I’m not someone who can just sweep things under the rug or move on and not feel feelings. Somedays I have no choice but to suck it up because I have things to take care of, but when I don’t…then time alone in the middle of the day shedding some tears I think is okay and healthy.
