Dolce & Gabbana Baroque Inspired Style
As soon as I saw these baroque, black lace-overlay and gold emblazoned booties at Zara on the shelves, I bought a pair immediately. Typically I implement my “sleep on it” shopping rule but I had to break it. Why this ankle boot is a must have for me? Style, price and my size goes quickly. But really, it reminds me of classic Dolce & Gabbana from the 90′s when I was barely an adult flipping through the glossy pages of Vogue, Mademoiselle and Glamour magazines.
Come full circle to 2012, Dolce & Gabbana’s fall collection was inspired by Domenico Dolce’s childhood roots in Sicily where his parents outfitted the local congregation for holidays. Each piece, impeccably crafted with lush velvets, feminine lace, baroque and gilded embellishments – telling the story of a sexy Sicilian woman young and old. This collection has obviously inspired other brands to incorporate a little old world Italiano into their fall and winter collections, hence my newest foot candy addition via Zara for $159.
