Style Savvy: It’s Monday and the only blues I’ve got for today is sporting my new navy blue BCBG Max Azria felt hat. I’ve been on a serious hunt for a new Fall/Winter hat and haven’t had any luck until yesterday. While scouting around the Carlsbad Outlet Mall, I spotted this hat at the BCBG store. I never have hope right as I’m trying on hats because I have a really, I mean really, small head. Most “one size” fits all are way too big. This one fit perfectly which was odd. When I took a closer look, the inside had a foam insert that you can attach/detach to adjust the size. Well, well, well. Imagine that. Now why don’t other brands that only make “one size” have these inserts? They should especially for people like me.
Let’s talk about today’s outfit pairing. I will be featuring this cozy turtleneck sweater in my next two posts this week. Showing how to style it 3 different ways. I just bought this sweater at H&M and couldn’t resist the softness of it and the color. I’m desperately craving the Fall season, so autumn colors are on my radar. I paired my deconstructed jeans by Dittos. Yes Dittos! The 70’s brand that has resurged in 2012. Since my outfit is a mashup of street and chic, I went with my Gucci metallic bronze heels and crimson Deux Lux cross body bag. I couldn’t resist a pop of pattern, hence the cowhide belt which is unexpected but that’s what fashion is all about. Live a little.
