Timeless and unique jewelry pieces made with care and precision make for a great gift year round. Whether it’s the holidays (like now), a birthday, anniversary, wedding, etc. one can never go wrong giving a classy and stylish bracelet, ring, necklace or timepiece. I’ve been collecting jewelry for many years, vintage and new. I’ve also been lucky enough to receive beautiful pieces as gifts. I cherish each piece and all of them have a story behind each one.
Links of London is a brand that appeals to everything I love in jewelry – quality, personalization, style, whimsy and packaging. Because Links of London believes in design and function they design contemporary classics, fashion must-haves and that extra special piece you weren’t expecting to find. That could be a nodding dog or a champagne bubble blower, an 18ct gold sweetie bracelet or a disco diva charm. This holiday season I’m wearing their two-tone Sweetie bracelet in sterling silver and gold vermeil ($315) with a sterling silver initial ($60) for that extra personal flair.
Because I love a good back story …
Links of London was founded in 1990 and the company resulted from a simple request for a pair of fish cufflinks – bizarre but true. A local restaurant owner commissioned the manufacture of a pair of sterling silver cufflinks, as a gift for their loyal restaurant clients. Harvey Nichols, the exclusive London fashion store, loved the design and ordered a whole collection. Links of London was born and today have grown internationally with stores in the UK, Hong Kong, USA and Canada.
