Holiday Office Party Outfit Inspo

As most of you know, I’m savvy about shopping my closet first (read HERE) and shopping for key pieces that will elevate my wardrobe. For example, I’m wearing a DVF (Diane Von Furstenberg) LBD below that is appropriate for the office/corporate work environment – it hits just below the knees, neckline isn’t too low and the sleeves which you can’t see are 3/4 length. Instead of frantically trying to find a new dress for a holiday work party, I added a few elements to turn this dress into a stylish holiday appropriate look amongst bosses and co-workers.

Rich jewel tones such as ruby, emerald and deep amethyst are must-have Fall/Winter wardrobe colors and fit for the holidays like my Altuzarra for Target tuxedo blazer and Zara ankle strap heels. To elevate this outfit even further, I added a bijoux statement necklace (Nordstrom Rack), crystal bangles and a ruby lip (Laura Geller Love Me Dew in Plum Freeze). Accessories (jewelry, shoes, handbags, belts, scarves) and outerwear (such as a blazer or jacket) are investment pieces because you can wear them with mostly any outfit.

Savvy Style Tip: Be sure when buying a specific item, you can wear it with at least 3 outfits from you closet.
