Cut to end of the movie, “One way ticket to Morocco please.” Penny Lane. I will never get sick of this movie and these few lines sum up my current inspiration.
I’ve been dreaming of Morocco lately. Although I’ve never been, it’s definitely on my list of places to visit. So for now, I have the internet, where I can peruse everything Moroccan sparking creative inspiration when I can’t physically be there. Prints in jewel tones and metallics, especially gold, is a standard in Moroccan style from textiles to home decor and fashion. Colorful patterns in Ikat, Moorish circles, lattice, lanterns and trellis scream to me, “Let’s have fun!” Not only did I used a Moroccan motif as my outfit inspiration, I also used it as my accessories prop styling inspo.
Savvy Style Tip: Use a scarf to wrap around and tie as a top, throw on a metallic lightweight jacket or blazer and pair of your fave boyfriend jeans or denim shorts.
