Style Savvy: This outfit I’m wearing sums up what my daily uniform would be if I had one. I love a cool graphic tee/tank especially one’s that have inspiring messages like my Spiritual Gangster “live in the sunshine” muscle tee. It only makes sense to pair this with my fave Paige denim jeans, Shoemint blue suede strappy heels and a color block moto jacket.
When I’m running around San Diego in between answering emails and phone calls while trying to set up my next style segment for the morning news, and shopping for a Halloween costume with my sister and nephew, I need an ensemble that’s mobile yet stylish. Most often I see beautiful women, all shapes and sizes wearing yoga gear around town and yes, it’s comfy but come on ladies! You can put a little more effort into dressing. There are many options in casually dressing for errands that don’t include workout wear. UNLESS, you are going to workout, then that makes sense.
I have many women (friends and clients) ask me how they can get out of the rut of wearing their yoga clothes? They know it’s not ideal for attracting the right energy or the right man even. Here’s a list of how to start:
- My first tip is to go through your closet and see if you have any clothes that make sense for running errands.
- Try them on and see if they fit properly or if you even like them anymore.
- Visit a few blogs or go on Pinterest to find outfit photos for inspiration.
- Take them with you (store on your phone) and go shopping for at least one new head-to-toe outfit. You can build upon that one. It’s a start.
