Why it’s savvy: This blog gives you ideas about how to put accessories together the day of your wedding, hair maintenance prior to your wedding, how to get gorgeous skin, etc. Practical concerns brides would have aside from the actual wedding decoration stuff.
2. Inspired Bride
Why it’s savvy: We were already hooked when we saw “Wedding Emergency Kit” because as Savvynistas we love kits of all types. This blog also shows clever ways to ask your gals to be bridesmaids, creative inspiration boards and a great section “for the guys.”
3. Broke Ass Bride
Why it’s savvy: Practical advice, creative DIY’s, how to save money and your sanity…all sounds good to us! Their motto is “It’s not about how much you spend, it’s how you spend it.” The founder of this blog also founded Bride$hare a social network designed to help brides save green and be green through the sharing, swapping, and reuse of all things wedding related.
4. Marry This!
Why it’s savvy: Easy to follow blog, with a free downloadable planning guide, free already designed printables and less than $200 fashion story boards. Fantastic inspiration all around.
5. The Knotty Bride
Why it’s savvy: This blog covers pretty much everything when it comes to weddings but we especially love the sections on engagement and boudoir.
6. Oh So Beautiful Paper
Why it’s savvy: Invitations really set the tone for weddings and are one of the most important pieces to consider. This blog has some of the most unique save the dates and invites we’ve seen.
7. Wedding Chicks
Why it’s savvy: The Style Search section is visually appealing, split between color inspirations and themed wedding inspirations. We also love the hand picked vendor section which is broken up by various locations around the US.
8. Bridal Snob
Why it’s savvy: They had us at “Bitch, Please.” We also love the eye candy, somewhat Pinterest approach to featuring wedding inspirations from fashion to decor.
9. Glitter Weddings
Why it’s savvy: Probably the most romantic, visually speaking of wedding blogs and we love the real wedding photo stories. The Wedding Essentials category makes it easy to make a check list of what you need and then when you click on a topic, voila…savvy info and inspiration is all there.
10. Lovely Bride
Why it’s savvy: Most of the postings seem to be inspired by vintage wedding styles and photos which we haven’t seen in other wedding blogs. You know the saying “What’s old is new again.” We also dig the Trunk Show tab which features a calendar of who, when and where they’ll be.
