Today marks the official first day of Fall and guess what? It definitely doesn’t feel like it in Southern Cali. We’re still summer vibing over here with 80 degree weather. Unfortunately, my fall outfits are on standby in my closet. On a separate topic, a friend of mine recently asked me if the “no white after Labor Day” rule doesn’t exist anymore. In my style handbook, I say wear white year-round. Of course, some traditional folks in the South might overrule me on this but I don’t live there nor do I live in the early 1900’s. Hence the white jeans I’m wearing today.
Let’s talk about this grey sleeveless turtleneck shirt “business on the neck, party on the arms” for a moment. I’m in LOVE with this new brand Kit & Ace. Their collection consists of the most amazing basic t-shirts in various cuts and classic colors. The fabrication is where the brilliance comes in for me. All their tees are made of a soft, luxe cashmere blend that is machine wash friendly. That’s right, you can toss it in your washer and tumble dry on low. I put my shirt through the washer/dryer test before I wore it and it didn’t shrink, didn’t pill, still as soft as ever.
