Researching seasonal trends is always a delight. It’s fun to see certain trends repeat each season. I also get excited to see how designers update shapes and cuts with seasonal colors, prints and fabrics. Over the years I’ve learned what colors and prints are classics and continue to be on trend season after season.
Let’s take a look at deep rich berry a.k.a. burgundy, maroon, wine, pinot noir, cranberry, crimson. Yes all these shades vary with a hint of blue or brown undertones but they’re all on point for Fall/Winter seasons. If you have this color in your closet, try pairing your piece(s) with other colors and prints you wouldn’t typically wear with.
This Fall, I’m a big fan of pairing the colors valiant poppy (bright red) and red pear (deep red with cool undertones). Of course you can never go wrong with the always fun color combo red and pink. But autumn lends for richer hues, making this a fresh duo.
This color tone isn’t the only thing trending for Fall, so are pearls. Yep, it’s not just about Grandma’s pearl necklace on special occasions anymore. Pearl details on clothing, accessories and elevated designs with jewelry are a must have. And let’s face it, pearls are chic and classic, which means, they never truly go out of style. What’s Going On
I love this part of my post because it gives you personal insight to my life and not just the highlight reel. This last half of the year I’m concentrating on bringing you more lifestyle content. I’m focusing on skincare, wellness, home style and travel. Don’t worry, I’ll still be sharing style tips and savvy trends worth buying because I know you gals love seeing new ways to style pieces.
Scott (le fiancé) and I were planning on having our wedding this October but we had to shift the date because of family stuff. We finally decided on how to get married before the end of the year and have our dream reception with family and friends next June. It’s a perfect plan that fits us and I’ll be writing a few posts about wedding planning your way.
We’ve also been in our new home for 6 months now and finally settling into all the quirks and upkeep. We went a little “too big” buying this estate but it’s a good learning experience. We definitely know what we want and don’t want for our next home. For now, we’re enjoying it. How is your summer going so far?
xx, Maria
