Style Savvy: One of my YouTube viewers asked me to make more videos on pairing graphic t-shirts/tanks with blazers and how to style it for a complete look. Today I’m showing how to do this type of pairing here on my blog (video to come soon, promise). I’m a fabric snob, meaning my tees and tanks need to be uber soft and lightweight, hence my Spiritual Gangster “Warrior” tank I’m wearing with my Zara pants, DVF blazer (I’ve had for years and wear A LOT), Manolo Blahnik patent Mary Jane heels, classic Timex watch, Kenneth Jay Lane elephant cuff and vintage Christian Dior necklace. ** If you’re going to wear this look to the office just make sure the graphic or words on your shirt are appropriate if it’s more of a buttoned up environment (wink).

Personal Style: Street Chic
Thoughts: Never assume, I try to practice this daily.
I’ve mentioned this before, I’m not a fan of texting or instant messaging. I do text BUT if I really want to get to the heart of something or connect with someone on a “personal” level, a phone call is preferred (I understand in certain circumstances that this may not be feasible, I’m realistic). Here’s the deal…I get comments on my blog/YouTube/Facebook and FB private messages from people that I’m not friends with but who are following me or an acquaintance. I read all my messages and try to respond in a timely fashion and graciously. SOMETIMES I may not be in the right spot or driving or traveling or whatever the case to respond so eloquently. I at least want to acknowledge a comment or message and say “thanks” BUT sometimes people don’t even take my response kindly. I mean come on?! I’m responding and saying “thanks” at least.
This is the MAIN reason why I’m not a fan of texting or instant messaging. People take things so personally or an attack on them if they don’t get the response that “they” wanted or expected. I’ve allowed myself to go there but I’m learning to shift my perception and not take it to heart anymore. You can never assume where a person is at in life or even that specific moment. You know?
