Mood: Empowered
Weather: Partial Sun, partial clouds, evening drizzle (Los Angeles, CA)
Outfit Purpose: Work Day / Out & About
Style Savvy: Staying warm but wanted to look buttoned up with an edge. I don’t own any cute cropped sweaters from this Fall/Winter season because I can’t shop, so I improvised and took my J. Crew argyle cashmere sweater and folded it under to create a cropped sweater. This only worked because my sweater was fitted, not baggy. Instead of pairing a pencil skirt in a solid color, I took my Forever 21 leopard printed pencil skirt and paired my silk Equipment blush colored button up shirt to tie in the argyle and leopard pieces. Another solid color piece to tie in the crazy pattern mixing came down to my dark brown Marc Jacobs ankle boots.
Personal Style: Nerdy Chic
Thoughts: Today was all about women empowerment from a great morning of fabulous women supporting each other and specific children’s charities to midday and evening shared with more amazing women. I look at my relationships with the ladies in my life and how grateful I am to be surrounded, inspired, nurtured and loved unconditionally by them. And for me to give the same in return. This feeds my soul in a way that nothing external can. What a gift and that I’m fully present in life to absorb all this delicious goodness.
