Outfit Purpose: Weekend Play
Style Savvy: Well, well, well…pulled out another variation of my “standard” uniform – jeans, blazer, some type of t-shirt/tank situation and sassy heels. Pair grays and yellows together, it’s a great color combo and break it up with some denim. It doesn’t hurt to layer a bunch of baubles and have a swinging finger and arm party, like I did with my Love Tatum pieces.

What’s Going On: OMG! JewelMint has so many great jewelry pieces right now and super affordable. Why am I on this no shopping challenge…still! So how am I doing with no shopping in my sixth month? Well, I definitely have more time to do other things besides shop. That’s kind of ironic, since I do sort of shop for my styling business but on loan, not actual purchasing (unless I ruin or lose something, then I’m up shit creek). I also recognize when I get the urge to shop, it’s because I’m trying to make myself feel better instantly. Some good self-awareness going on there. Other than that, just the daily outfit photos and posts is really the toughest to keep up but I just treat as part of my job.
If you read yesterday’s post HERE, I was really down in the dumps. Today is a new day and feeling restored after my crying cleanse. I needed to let it all out so I can swing back around and look at all the positives. I believe that there are no coincidences. That everything happening is meant to be. Sometimes it’s not that people were thrown into my life for “me” per se, I believe that I was meant to be in their lives for a reason as well. Once I take myself (more like my ego) out of the equation, that’s when I’m able to see the beauty in all that’s occurred and keep moving forward. I’m always hopeful and feel if something is meant to be, it will be. I know, I know. Hi, my name is Maria and I’m a hopeless romantic.
