DAY 229: Shop My Closet Boho Chic

Mood: Clear

Weather: Sunny & Warm

Outfit Purpose: Driving from LA back to SD / Out & About

Style Savvy: When I don’t have time to fuss with hair and makeup, I throw on a hat, sunnies and red lipstick then I’m set. Today I needed to be comfy yet chic for a few last stops in LA then my drive back to San Diego. Sticking with my contrarian style roots of juxtaposing hard and soft elements, I paired my feminine NEUW Denim dress with moto boots, a fedora and a men’s Timex watch.

Personal Style: Boho Chic

What’s Going On: Feeling clearer on some personal matters now that I’ve worked it through with a few suggested tools from a trusted confidant. Because I’m a visual person, writing exercises seem to work the best for me. I can always see clearly what my patterns are on paper. It’s time to regroup, refocus and do what is best for Maria. Sometimes I can go into denial mode or fantasy land and only see what I want to see which in turn hurts me in the end. Especially when it comes to men and dating. I need to keep saying to myself, “No more B.T.N.’s!!” Abbreviation for “Better Than Nothing”.

  1. Yes, I’ve noticed you’ve left a couple of comments before and thanks for reading my blog. Here’s the thing, my blog is a very abbreviated glimpse of my day and thoughts. It doesn’t give the full picture I agree but as you know more will be revealed in my book. My readers tend to be more women than men and they seem to enjoy and relate to what I write more so than a man would. Also, I’m not looking to get dates from my blog so I don’t see why I need to draft an online profile of what I can bring to the table. Have a good weekend!

  2. I’ve been reading this blog now and again. It makes me wonder if you have any idea or ever even consider what it is that men want from women. I hope in reality there is more to you than the picture you paint of high maintenance and neediness. Neither of these traits are aphrodesiacs. can we see one of your blogs that talks about what it is that you bring to the table?
