Mood: Under-the-Weather
Weather: Sunny, warmish, breezy
Outfit Purpose: Stylist at Work
Style Savvy: Summer calls for crisp whites in linen and cotton fabrics, hence my outfit today. I almost went monochromatic with all white but at the last minute decided that I needed a pop of color, pairing my coral knitted peplum top with my blazer and pants.
Savvy Tip: 100% linen pieces can be washed in cold on delicate cycle, dried flat or hung. Any piece you own that is 100% made of a natural fabric like wool, silk, linen or cotton are washable. Don’t be fooled into thinking they have to be dry cleaned.
Personal Style: Career Chic
What’s Going On: I haven’t taken antibiotics in years and feeling the effects of it today. I know it’s suppose to kill off the infection I have but it’s making me dizzy and nauseous. I have a big weekend with events and on-camera filming so I hope these side effects pass quickly.
I can’t believe that I’ve lived in San Diego for an entire year now. I arrived sad, heartbroken, lost and hopeless with my SUV filled with my belongings at my mother’s house. I was in shock from my separation with my now ex-husband and moving to a new city. My first month and a half was spent in bed crying, shopping online or hitting the stores. That’s how this challenge started. Everything has been a first this past year in San Diego. From new friendships to a few romances, local annual events, a reality show, morning news style segments, short trips, writing a book and more… practically everything have all been firsts for me. I’m still turning the pages and seeing what happens next.
