Mood: Meh (as my nephew would say)
Weather: Gorgeous, crisp air, sunshine, slight breeze
Outfit Purpose: Work / Out & About
Style Savvy: Okay, some days I put outfits together and look back at my blog posts and think “eh, I could’ve found something better to go with…” but I can’t change the past. At least I know for future reference what I won’t do. Look I’m experimenting because I’m “shopping my closet”. Normally I would go buy something new to go with a piece from my closet especially when I know I don’t have that one piece that will make or break the outfit. Some of my clothes are slightly outdated and I’m trying to make them look fresh. That’s tough without buying anything new. That’s another reason why this challenge is so difficult and also a reminder to invest in more substantial key pieces in the future when I can shop again.
Today is Halloween and I’m not in the costume spirit this year, so I dressed in a outfit that I could run around town doing my style pulls, etc. I’m still maximizing some of my summer wear like these Banana Republic shorts which can be worn in fall/winter months since they are tailored and black. I paired one of my fave silk SINGLE tops and my suede Christian Dior boots. I kept my accessories to a minimum because my top is very detailed in pattern. Another way to wear shorts like this, is to pair black stockings with a subtle stitch pattern, ankle boots, t-shirt and blazer.
Personal Style: Fall Street Style
Thoughts: Everyday is a new day to learn yet another lesson. I’m typically on top with follow through especially when it comes to business, bookings and appointments but this week I wasn’t hyper-vigilant on a TV segment for tomorrow morning. Maybe because I’m overly exhausted or maybe I just assumed it was locked in. Whatever the case, I should’ve double confirmed at the beginning of the week all the details regardless. I hear Mercury is in retrograde which causes communication breakdown. Yikes! It’s here until November 11th so be sure to double, triple, quadruple check everything!
