Style Savvy: This Kaya di Koko top imbues the lush nature of the tropical landscape on the North Shore of Hawaii. In keeping with my natural style aesthetic of boho-ness, I paired my top with my American Eagle Outfitters denim cutoffs and fringed Sam Edelman sandals. My jewelry has been fairly simple during my trip because I didn’t want to mess with too many pieces especially since most of my days are spent casually. If I wanted to dress this top up for the evening, I would pair it with a fitted mid-calf cotton jersey skirt with a deep side or front slit or an asymmetric mini with wedges or strappy heels.
Personal Style: Island Style Boho
Thoughts: Although I’m feeling indifferent today, I’m still captivated by the land and nature of where I’m at. The indifference has to do more with my feelings and reactions with another person. What I can say is this … I’m staying true to who I am, living in the moment, not predicting the future and not closing myself off by allowing 7 days to be the deciding factor of anything and everything. I’ve realized that I’ve grown tremendously over the years and more so since my divorce. I continue to live life fully, give without expectations, care without abandon and be genuine to the people in my life. If this trip has taught or shown me anything, it’s that I’m living authentically and am willing to share all of who I am regardless of the outcome.
