Mood: Gentle
Weather: Sunny but chillier today
Outfit Purpose: Out & About for the day
Style Savvy: I’m not a huge shorts wearer but I do own a handful. You’ll see them in rotation throughout this challenge because LITERALLY, I have a handful. For this outfit I pulled my yellow P26 ruffled top (designed by my friend Jeannine Braden former boutique owner of Fred Segal Flair & Post 26) as my staple piece to style around. I just love this yellow, it’s bright and puts a smile on my face. Yellow, blue and white are complementary colors so I paired my Paige Denim floral shorts with this top and ShoeMint nude heels (worn on Day 5 here) to keep my legs looking long. Wearing a nude color shoe will make any legs look longer, just make sure to match the color closest to your skin tone. For accessories I added my Bad Boys Finish First aviator sunnies, Rebecca necklace that I’ve had forever, mix of rings and bangles and my trusty classic Timex watch.

What’s Going On With Me: Since I’m living in San Diego for now, my current assistant/photographer is my mother. I use her as my model to set up the angle and location, checking for lighting, etc. then I have her take the camera and snap away. My former assistant Sarah is working for one of my besties in L.A. (we kept her in the family) and she’s also busy promoting a German reality show she’s in “Haus & Hof in Hollywood” currently airing on German TV.
With that said, my mom and I almost got cited for taking these photos by the railroad tracks from a very manly woman security guard. Instead of coming up to us and nicely saying, “You can’t take photos here,” she screamed, “HEY WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?! Get away from there, you’re trespassing. What do you think you’re doing?! I can cite you for this! Miss Priss just standing there posing.” I calmly said back to her, “We’re done and sorry we didn’t know.” I feel sorry for people like that. She must live a very sad existence if she has to come at people in a hostile manner. Never mind worrying about getting run over by a train, we got ran over by the security manlady.
Thoughts: I recently reposted this quote on Facebook that read EVERYONE DIES BUT NOT EVERYONE LIVES. I love a burst of inspiration and reminders. Six words that are so simple but so powerful. I do try to live everyday to the fullest and be present so I don’t miss out on anything. Even if I’m feeling shitty, I still wouldn’t change it. I need to feel these feelings as a reminder that I’m still alive! Have a super weekend everyone!
