Outfit Purpose: Stylist at Work
Style Savvy: Pencil skirts are a classic and sober staple to have in one’s wardrobe. Nowadays designers are implementing great prints and color blocks to jazz up the plain solid colored pencil skirt. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t own at least one black pencil skirt in your closet, you SHOULD. I had a fashion editorial meeting this morning so I wanted an outfit that was office appropriate yet reflects my personal style. Gray is a great complementary color when pairing with a black piece and other cool colors like the blue, purple and pink hues in my H&M skirt. To funk it up I paired my Vince Camuto heels, cat-eyed sunnies, a mix of jewelry (Love Tatum, Miriam Jewels).
Personal Style: Office Chic
What’s Going On: More like what happened tonight? I had rsvp’d to an event and thought it was in La Jolla because the email had mentioned the boutique’s name and all about the boutique’s merchandise, etc. I failed to notice the first sentence in the email read that it will be held at a salon in another part of SD. I had my sister join me for the night and we got all dolled up but didn’t make the event because … duh … we were in La Jolla. My bad! I love Herringbone restaurant, so we ended up there (my sis has never been) and had a wonderful night regardless. A little pre-holiday sister time in our fancy dresses.
