Style Savvy: Casual yet stylish by dressing up my J. Brand boyfriend jeans with my emerald green Zara silk top, tweed DVF (Diane Von Furstenberg) blazer and leather Marc Jacobs ankle boots. I can’t express enough how much a great blazer can polish a casual outfit, especially with jeans. Invest in at least 3 good blazers – black, grey, navy and/or white.
Personal Style: Weekend Chic
Thoughts: Thinking about the concept of when we say sorry not in the “I’ve done something directly to you that was wrong, therefore I’m apologizing.” The “I’m sorry” when someone tells you what happened to them due to another person or event that was unpleasant. I typically say, “I’m sorry to hear that” or simply “I’m sorry” and the response back is usually, “Oh don’t be sorry” or “There is no reason to be sorry”. It’s true. I feel the same when I’m the recipient of this type of “I’m sorry”. Looking at it from a deeper perspective, the words “I’m sorry” is a gesture of compassion and letting that person know you’re listening. And for me, that’s all we need sometimes.
