Mood: Groovin’
Weather: Sunny, warmish, mild breeze

Style Savvy: To make it easy on those days you don’t want to think about matching separates, have a few dresses in your wardrobe that have interesting yet classic prints made in fine fabrics like my zebra print silk shirt dress by SINGLE. Then add some color with your shoes and jewelry, like my Derek Lam heels in cobalt blue and moonstone Opal cuffs by Love Tatum.
Personal Style: Timeless Chic
What’s Going On: Today has been one of those SoCal travel days from the Westside (Brentwood) to downtown LA fashion district back to Carlsbad (North County San Diego) to downtown San Diego to end my day. I really need an SUV that gets better gas mileage. Aye carumba! Soon.
It’s also MLK (Martin Luther King, Jr.) day. He has so many great quotes but this one resonates with where I’m at in life today – “Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” This is a good reminder that it’s okay to take a step and have trust that you’ll be guided in the right path. I do this everyday. Or at least I try to. I believe this is why I’m able to dust myself off after something major happens in my life and keep it moving. I’m not saying it doesn’t come without emotional ups and downs, because it does and can be quite painful. For me it’s one step at at time, one minute at a time, one day at a time. The next steps on the staircase are always a pleasant surprise.
