Outfit Purpose: Saturday Play
Style Savvy: Doing what I do best…putting my contrarian style hat on today mixing prints with classic and modern silhouettes. Today I’ve juxtaposed the top half of my body with punk elements (top & jacket by Punk Royal) with feminine classics down below, a pencil skirt (worn HERE & HERE) and Jimmy Choo pumps. I love adding an element of rock, punk or bohemian with classic, soft or feminine pieces. It shows I’m refined but sassy. With this outfit you could swap out the pencil skirt for a full A-line midi skirt or leather sweatpants … now that would be hot! Wish I owned a pair, damn.
Personal Style: Polished Punk
What’s Going On: I have a case of vulnerability today and some days I feel it more than others. Today I’m in my soft, sensitive zone. I have finality on my last relationship and still had a flicker of hope that it would come back around. From all the feelings that we shared, words we’ve said and actions we took, I assumed we were on the same page. I completely opened myself up and took a leap of faith because he made me feel safe. I will never know the real truth as to why it ended and I guess it’s better that way. It hurts. Yes, I’m still hurt. And it’s okay. Feelings pass, I know from experience. I need a little time to let my heart heal again. It’s all a learning lesson and good practice. I just wish it didn’t sting so much. Do they make EpiPens for this sort of thing?
