Style Savvy: I’ve been viewing many designer’s RTW (ready-to-wear) runway collections for 2014 and one trend I’m seeing a lot of is black and white. Typically black and white doesn’t make me think “spring” but I don’t always go by what’s on trend anyway. Black and white pairings are always in style according to my fashion style book. They are classic colors and classic colors to pair with each other. The only way these colors wouldn’t make sense is the fabric you choose to wear for the season. Heavier fabrics should be worn in fall and winter and lighter, breathable fabrics for spring and summer.

Personal Style: Spring Chic
What’s Going On: I’ve been on a mission to get back to who I am, what I need, and loving myself. This challenge has been a gift and an amazing journey even through the painful days and weeks. I’m a visual person so for me to work through personal growth, I need to write things on paper. When I see it on paper in print, it’s either like a hammer hitting me on the head or the light bulb clicking on. I’ve realized in relationships and dating I’ve been reverting to some old behaviors that aren’t so favorable. This is something I’ve noticed recently. I thought I worked through this stuff years ago but It’s obvious that I need to work through these issues again. At least I’m aware now and am willing to change this.
