Mood: Chillin’
Weather: Morning Rain / Afternoon Sun
Outfit Purpose: Out & About
Style Savvy: Doing a little graffiti and print play with my outfit today. It was raining in the morning but the the sun broke through and it warmed up a bit, hence a more Spring-like outfit I’m sporting. I love investing in t-shirts that are different shapes, styles and lengths with interesting graphics and humorous sayings. Of course we can’t forget the band tees. I love me an old school band t-shirt fo sho. This t-shirt by Punk Royal is versatile. I know you’re thinking “How so?” … check it out on DAY 203 HERE when I paired it with a pencil skirt. Denim designers have also stepped up their creative game, one of my faves is PAIGE (I’m wearing from 2013).
Personal Style: Rockin’ Street Style
What’s Going On: I can’t believe this week has flown by. I’ve been grieving all week and haven’t been up to much. Now that Friday is here, I’m freaking out because I feel like I wasted a whole week. That’s just my head wanting to beat myself up for nothing. Even though I wasn’t super productive, I did handle some business. And it’s okay to take a week, heck it hasn’t even been a whole entire week since I put my cat to sleep. I need to ease up on myself.
I also want to shop. Spring season is coming up and there are many pieces I would love to own. I want new shoes, tops, skirts and jeans. I’m tired of being creative and shopping my closet. I want something new! Arrgghh! I’m surrendering to the universe. I’m at where I’m at and committed. Just F-ing sucks at times. I can’t believe where my life is today from 9 months ago when I moved to San Diego from Santa Monica due to getting divorced (not my choice), shopped blindly and spent all my savings and started this No Shopping Challenge for a year while publicly posting my journey on this blog daily.
Although hard because everything feels foreign, it’s truly been a blessing dressed in an outfit I wouldn’t typically wear. I recently turned a new corner in my perspective and embracing all the changes. I’m going to fully dive in and see where it takes me. I’m ready now.
