Style Savvy: On warm sunny days when I’m driving around town for appointments and meetings I like to wear garments that don’t wrinkle so easily. Silk jersey fabrics are typically the best for non-wrinkle action. This dress by Bou Jeloud (a Japanese brand concept) has a great Moroccan inspired print and the cut is very reminiscent of a classic wrap dress yet it’s not. I love the clever design in the front, from the neckline to the waist and the 3-gold rings for detail. The lightweight silk Bou Jeloud coat with leopard print detail inside the cuff (love this!) unfortunately isn’t wrinkle forgiving, so I keep it on a hanger in my car until I step out. Invest in at least one lightweight silk trench jacket for Spring/Summer, it’s a great alternative to a sweater.

What’s Going On: Most days I feel creative but today I’m feeling extra creative. It could be from my morning appointment to do a walk through for a Shop My Closet style presentation I’m giving with Elite Networking at California Closets next Tuesday night. It’s appointments like these and brainstorming with other business women that inspire me and give me a jolt of entrepreneurial goodness for the day. I’m slowly. I repeat…slowwwlyyyy…easing into and liking my life I’m creating in San Diego. I never had any expectations about how it would look like but I never expected that I would happily immerse myself in this city. The people I’ve met have been nothing but gracious and lovely so far. I’m digging it. I honestly am.
