Style Savvy: Mixing it up with print-on-prints today. This is the question I get asked most frequently is how to mix prints with separate pieces. Whether it’s your top or bottom piece, my rule is that one piece has smaller, subtle prints and the other piece has oversized prints. My Old Navy tank I’m wearing here is basically white with a very small print, so I look to this top as a solid color. My Old Navy scarf I see as a solid color because the overall color you notice is lilac. The lilac color ties in with the lilac from my pants. You dig?

What’s Going On: I can’t think of a better day to have off and unplug than on Good Friday. I didn’t even plan it this way. I caught up on some reading, napped, chatted on the phone with friends. The only thing I can’t take off is blogging daily during this challenge. One of my best friends caught me up on future wedding plans, how the proposal happened, etc. I’m so excited and happy and I felt myself getting caught up in the romance of it all. I got swept up in his love bubble and blurted out, “I want to get married.” Then I realized I’m not legally divorced yet. Not because my ex or I planned it that way. We’ve been asking our attorney for months what the status is and he keeps saying because of budget cuts, etc. that the courts are backed up so our papers are just sitting there waiting. What a drag. I’m not planning on rushing to the alter anytime soon, I need a fiancé first. Heck, I don’t even have a boyfriend yet. I’m a romantic at heart so I get mushy over the love stuff. That’s all.
