DAY 344: Shop My Closet Pencil Skirts

Mood: Mourning

Weather: Partial sun, partial clouds

Outfit Purpose: Stylist at Work

Style Savvy: Let’s talk pencil skirts ladies. Every woman should own at least one black pencil skirt that either hits below the knee caps or barely brushing the top of your knee caps. High waisted are my fave and one’s that have a bit of stretch in the fabric. I’ve shopped this pencil skirt in the my closet numerous times throughout this past year of my challenge.

Personal Style: Career Chic

What’s Going On: It’s Father’s Day and I’m mourning the loss of both my dads but especially my birth dad. I was sharing with my beau over coffee this morning the story about my dad’s death and the series of events that led up to the sudden occurence. It’s been 7 1/2 years now but it doesn’t get easier. The time in between mourning expands but the memories and heartache are still fresh.

There was this sweet poem from a father to a daughter that my dad had framed hanging on his walls. It was so touching and always made me tear up when I read it. I need to find this so I can hang it on my wall for him. A relationship between a father and daughter is so special and I’m grateful that I had two father’s to share that love with.
