Mood: A Cornucopia
Weather: Bright, Sunny, Warm
Outfit Purpose: Timex Style Watch Event & Date Night
Style Savvy: I’m loving how designers have included mixed media print into their fabrics over the years. It’s a way to make a piece of clothing unique and interesting. This dress not only has the most amazing print and colors, the A-Line cut and collar is super flattering. As a stylist, this cut will look good on pretty much any body shape. When I’m a big fan of a brand that hits it on all levels, I always buy from that line. This dress is by one of my fave gals and designers, Galina Sobolev for Single Dresses paired with Prabal Gurung for Target heels, chandelier earrings, Timex watch (gifted), Buddha to Buddha sterling silver bracelet and rings. Oh and that little black purse I’m holding … it’s an iPhone case made by Pursecase. This handy dandy case is perfect for the evening when you just want to carry your ID, cash/credit card.
Personal Style: Glam Girl
What’s Going On With Me: As you can see by my mood above, I had a cornucopia of moods today. I can’t really post why because I think it’s too fresh BUT when my book gets published next year, believe me … you’ll get all the juicy details. I’m keeping side notes for that. So, if you’ve been following my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook … you might have seen photos of the Timex Style Watch event I attended in Beverly Hills this past Wednesday. I wasn’t able to get the outfit photos together until today. I know I’m back tracking a bit but I wanted to make sure they got up for you to see.
The watch event was set at the L’Ermitage Hotel in a private suite and basically it was all fashion bloggers and other media previewing the new collections by Timex. I was sporting my old Timex to show I was representing (thumbs up). It was also great to catch up with fellow bloggers, get excited over all these new stylish watches and hang with SD Guy.
Thoughts: It’s good to immediately own up to your part in a sticky, combative or uncomfortable situation. If you take time to listen to the other person you hurt or affected in a negative way, it allows you to be compassionate and make amends. I feel that when I practice this, things turn out better and there’s no lingering yuckiness.
