DAY 46: Shop My Closet Boudoir Chic

Mood: Run-down, Sick

Weather: Hotter than normal, sunny

Outfit Purpose: R&R (rest & relaxation)

Style Savvy: You might think today’s outfit is cheating because it’s just a bathrobe BUT notice the accessorizing! To glam up your big fluffy bathrobe (I love these deliciously soft one’s by Barefoot Dreams) throw on some shiny baubles and slip on a pair of sexy Louboutins (mine circa 2007). Don’t forget the red lipstick, I’m wearing Shanghai Express by Nars and then spend the day flipping through your September Vogue magazine. You can’t get more stylish than this at home.

What’s Going On With Me: Why am I wearing this so-called outfit today? Because I’ve been fighting a cold or something to that effect. I’ve been feeling super run down the past 3 days now. So today, I stayed in to catch up on a little work at my desk, jump on an afternoon conference call and then pretty much rest in between. I’m so not motivated to write anything tonight as well. I’m sorry! At least I’m a trooper and did something. I hope I feel better tomorrow because I have to travel back to L.A. this Friday. Although I’m illin’ … I’m giddy about a certain visit from a certain someone next week! I can’t wait!

Thoughts: Being of service gets me out of my head and into action. When I’ve got all kinds of squirrels racing around in my noggin’ I need to be of service to someone else, even if it’s just making a phone call and asking, “How are you doing?” This helps me get grounded and sleep better.
