Mood: Determined
Weather: Hot & Humid
Outfit Purpose: Work, Stylist at your Service
Style Savvy: Feeling determined on a Friday and pounding out the long work day. Some companies still enforce a dress code of some nature so if you have to keep it buttoned up, then try a pencil skirt that goes below the knee in a printed pattern like this one I’m wearing from H&M. I paired it with my Prabal Gurung for Target top and heels. When this brand collab came out at the beginning of the year, I went a little crazy and scooped up many pieces. The jewelry I kept minimal with my rose gold crystal Michael Kors watch, Bullet leather & gold CC Skye ring and a few semi-precious stone beaded bracelets.
Personal Style: Office Chic
What’s Going On With Me: Today I had a full day of wrapping up some projects that seriously needed to get done. At least I completed one that was weighing on me a bit. Now it’s blogging time at the unsightly hour of midnight. A few people asked if I ever get any sleep. I have to laugh. I do but somedays not so much.
This week was the jump start to my publicity for Shop My Closet 365 Days since I’ve surpassed 60 days. I needed to get a couple of months under my belt (no pun intended) before making a splash to the media. A close friend of mine who’s a relationship guru (from the guy’s point of view) and guest speaks on a bunch of talk shows said he’s surprised nobody has really tapped into what I’m doing. I told him I did that on purpose but now I’m ready.
Tonight when I took a few breaks from working, my mind started to reminisce about the few days I just spent with my out-of-state guy. I wish we could’ve spent one more day together. He really is a sweet and down-to-earth soul and makes me smile.
Thoughts: What others think about you is not important. What you think about yourself means everything. Saw this quote floating around the web-o-sphere. I had a little situation come up a few days ago about some “talk” floating around about me and somebody … I just let it go. I mean why worry about meaningless chatter from people who at the end of the day don’t add value to my life. If it’s not my immediate circle of people, then I don’t need to care about what’s being said. You dig?
