Mood: Sensitive
Weather: Another Warm & Sunny Day
Outfit Purpose: Sunday Funday
Style Savvy: You can never go wrong with a classic DVF wrap dress like the one I’m wearing from 7-8 years ago. Diane Von Furstenberg’s wrap dresses are timeless, chic and fit pretty much any body shape. Depending on your height you may need to alter the length.
That’s my savvy style tip with dresses ladies! Not all of us are 5’11” so for the gals under 5’4″ you might need to hike up the hemline. Don’t make yourself look shorter than you have to be. In pairing jewelry with my dress, I pulled inspiration from the snake, with metallic chain and fringe pieces – sleek and slithery like the snake.
Personal Style: Effortless Glam
What’s Going On With Me: Today was a full day of doing absolutely nothing except this outfit post. I had a major headache that wouldn’t go away and still have it right now. I’m just emotional today. Yesterday I mentioned the envelope that came in my mail (read here) that lead me to tears. I guess it carried over into today. I actually wanted to rip up that envelope because it signifies the end of my marriage. I keep forgetting that it truly hasn’t been that long since my ex-husband and I parted ways.
And why do I watch sad movies that end in heartbreak when I’m feeling this way? I guess I really love to torture myself. I Netflixed some random movie that Ben Affleck was in with a French girl. I should’ve turned it off half way through because the movie wasn’t good at all. I wanted to give it a chance. Big mistake. Time suckage. Debbie downer. Don’t watch. Forgot the name. Sorry!
Thoughts: My birthday is in 5 more days on September 20th. I don’t know how I feel about it. It’s not a significant number but I am getting older. This quote below by Audrey Hepburn sums up how I feel about beauty and aging gracefully.
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows and the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
