DAY 73: Shop My Closet Polished Street Chic

Mood: Spirited

Weather: Warm day, cool night

Outfit Purpose: Out & About, Stylist at Work

Style Savvy: When trying to pull daily outfits together, I usually try to come from a place of fun. I don’t always want my outfits to be so serious, I like a bit of quirk and edge to them if possible. Of course there are situations where one needs to dress accordingly but when I’m running around town and pulling from showrooms and factories for clients, having meetings, etc. I can be more creative with my outfits. And you can too for the days you don’t need to look super professional or corporate.

I paired this longer black pencil skirt with my Cafe Press graphic tee which has one of my fave iconic women printed on it, threw on my Elmer Ave blazer and DIY Converse All-Stars. My accessories minimal, lots of dainty rings, my oversized classic Timex watch and cat-eyed sunnies. Savvy Style Tip: If you need to be more conservative for a buttoned up environment, you can swap out the graphic t-shirt for a nice subtle printed top and classic pumps on my feet.

What’s Going On With Me: I’ve been thinking about cutting this section out because I feel that my “thoughts” section below can cover what’s happening with me. If I have anything super amazingly cool happen that I think you’ll want to know, I’ll add it in but I think this section isn’t really necessary. If you think so, leave a comment below. With that said, see below for my “thoughts” of what’s going on with me (smiley face).

Thoughts: Hey welcome to my mind! Don’t know if you’ll get it most of the time because it can get a little squirrely up in these parts (wink). But you’ll be entertained (or not) and it’s always good for a laugh, some inspiration, words to ponder or feeling good knowing that I have crazy thoughts too and I’m not perfect.

Tonight I was reminded to never assume anything, to ask questions even if you’re afraid to find out the answer … you could be pleasantly surprised with the outcome. I was also reminded that everyone has their own path and timing for things in their life and it might not match up to your timing but that’s okay. Everything happens because it just does. And these days, I’ve been pretty good with that. I wake up and never know what to expect and am always surprised in a good way, even with the littlest things throughout my day.
