Mood: Happy but Lonesome
Weather: Really Warm & Sunny
Outfit Purpose: Fashion Week San Diego
Style Savvy: It’s so incredible how I can be feeling not super spirited but when I put on an outfit and get dolled up, I’m uplifted … even if it’s only for the night. Tonight was the last night of Fashion Week San Diego so I had to make sure I went out with a bang fashion wise. I LOVE this fringed ombre dress from Zara and in keeping with the “ombre” effect – I paired the dress with my ombre jeweled statement necklace and clutch both from Banana Republic and Zara studded ankle boots (VIDEO on how to wear ankle boots CLICK HERE). Since my necklace and arm candy are pretty bold, I didn’t wear earrings. There’s several Savvy Style tips for pairing jewelry pieces which I’ll be doing a style segment on Wake Up San Diego soon, so stay tuned for that!
Personal Style: Boho Glam
What’s Going On: Although happy generally speaking and meeting new stylish people during Fashion Week SD, after coming down my fashion high, I’m feeling lonesome. Then Elvis’ song “Are you Lonesome Tonight?” popped into my head so of course I searched for a clip of the song on YouTube and loved this version the best CLICK HERE. I really thought I might be able to make a trip to Hawaii for a short little vacay this month but it looks like it might not pan out (sad face). I’m a little bummed about that. I did perk up when a few friends chimed in tonight on Facebook and one of them was a girlfriend from high school who said she was with another friend of ours shopping and they were chatting about how they love reading this Shop My Closet challenge column. Your comments and support make it so much easier to keep pressing forward, so thank you to EVERYONE!!
