DAY 95: Shop My Closet Monochromatic Navy

Mood: Rising

Weather: Chilly, little Sun then Rain

Outfit Purpose: Work Day

Style Savvy: My stylist work day started out early this morning driving to a client nearby. It was chilly so what perfect timing to pull out this Elie Tahari tweed blazer I’ve had forever. I love this blazer because it’s reminiscent of a classic Chanel blazer but lighter on my budget. In keeping with my monochromatic theme this week, today I’m featuring navy. Navy is a classic and chic color that you’ll never have to worry if it’s in style. It will always be in style.

Along with my blazer, I paired my DVF silk cami, Zara jacquard cigarette pants, Guiseppe Zanotti heels and Gucci patent leather handbag. For baubles, I went with a diamond pig pendant necklace and crystal panther head ring. I love pigs and cats, what can I say?

Personal Style: Career Chic

Thoughts: Going through a bit of processing once again with where I’m at in life and what has transpired within the past five months (divorce, move and all). At least the periods in between are getting longer so that’s promising. When the weather changes I get sensitive and it reminds me of different times of my life. I really miss my home with my now ex-husband. I feel like I just want to drive home and everything will be the way it was when I lived there. I know that’s not reality, I just miss my home right now. Change is hard especially when you’re not prepared for it. Everyone says that I’m doing remarkably well for such a short period, and I do feel that way overall. That’s why when I’m going through a few days of sadness and missing parts of my past, I allow myself to feel it and move through it that way I can heal quicker.
