Outfit Purpose: Day to Night
Style Savvy: Here again I give another example of keeping your outfit interesting by taking a feminine top and pencil skirt but pairing them with edgier elements like a leather moto jacket, ankle chain strapped heels and aviator sunnies. This look will take you from a day at the office and business meetings to a night on the town. For the office don’t wear the jacket or heels, instead wear pumps and if you need to stay warm a fitted tailored blazer. Keep the moto jacket and sexy ankle straps in your car or tote bag to change out for the night.

Personal Style: Edgy Glam
Thoughts: Today is my birthday and although I’m not a big celebrator of my birthday, it hurt when I didn’t receive a happy birthday from someone. The crazy part is that I received soooo many wonderful birthday wishes from many friends and acquaintances throughout the day but ONE, just ONE that I didn’t receive completely crushed me. Granted it’s NOT just that. It’s the fact that this is the first birthday I’m without my former husband. He use to print out happy birthday notes on 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper and tape them all over our place so when I woke up in the morning I would be greeted by a birthday note in the bathroom, on the coffee maker, on the front door, etc.
I realized this year is going to be the “first” of many things without him. It didn’t really hit me until today. I got a good cry in which I believe is cleansing for one’s soul. It’s all positive, just changes and new experiences which takes getting use to.
