Outfit Purpose: Work / Appointments
Style Savvy: I’m feeling motivated today to find some new clients for personal styling and wardrobe makeovers, wrap up some invoicing for past projects and other work shenanigans. Unfortunately, since I’m a one-woman-show, I’m the only one who can really light a fire under my ass and get cracking. Hence this buttoned up yet stylishly chic work attire I’m wearing today. Most times, what I wear can change my mood and boost my confidence.
I’ve been waiting for cooler weather to wear my SINGLE checkered jacket, today seemed appropriate. I paired a boyfriend white button shirt with my dark denim wide legged jeans (these jeans are so old I have no clue wear I got them from, the fit was what sold me), Sam Edelman spiked pumps (circa 2012) and Banana Republic (old) crystal statement necklace. I belted my shirt to give my outfit some shape for when I take off my jacket.
Personal Style: Office Chic
Thoughts: I had to make an amends to my mom tonight. I guess I’ve been harboring some small resentments with her that I thought would pass but I guess not. I know she always comes from a place of love and good intentions that’s why I didn’t bring up these things up. Apparently they’ve been festering inside and what’s coming out is a short temper with her when we’re together. You know being sassy and snippy? Yes, that ugliness. I’ve been feeling it build actually and knew I needed to apologize for my behavior. Good thing we talked it out tonight and understand where each is coming from. I love her so much and never want to intentionally hurt her or make her feel bad.
