What the heck is “Off Duty” style? Well, it’s quite easy to pull off. I’m going to break down my formula for this casual chic look … for starters own a few different pairs of jeans from the cut/style to denim washes. Deconstructed boyfriend jeans are my go-to but I also love me a good skinny and flare as well. I’m wearing my new fave brand of denim from Japan, Moussy and can’t wait to get my legs into a few of their other styles.
As a personal fashion stylist, I love showing my clients how to create different looks that suit their lifestyle. Mostly all my female clients want that effortless chic running around town look. They say to me…
“I want to look great while being casual and comfy but also look sexy at the same time.”
Follow these 2Â savvy style tips:
Pair your favorite solid or striped t-shirt or sweater with any of your denim jean options (suggested above). Add a killer heel, stylish mule or stiletto ankle bootie. To elevate the “chic” factor another notch, add a snakeskin or studded belt, some arm candy (rings, bracelets), necklace or scarf, sunnies or hat (or both).
For a night on the town, take the same top, bottom and shoe combo but add a tailored blazer or leather jacket, a statement necklace, throw your hair up in a top knot or pony, and some red lipstick.
Make sure all your pieces fit your body, not too baggy, not too tight. Fit is always key. Have fun!
