It’s definitely sweater weather and I’m all for oversized chunky soft sweaters. I love a fitted cashmere when I want to layer blazers and jackets. But if I’m sans coat or wearing an oversized jacket, you’ll find me in a cozy turtleneck, chunky sweater.
I’m pretty picky about sweaters. I need it to be the right length, width, neckline, softness, color and washable. I’ll pay a higher price tag if it fits my criteria.
Perfect example, I bought my first cashmere sweater from Neiman Marcus when I was 20 years old. It’s navy blue and I still wear it today 20 years later! There are no holes and in excellent condition. Back then I could barely afford much but I knew this investment was worth the $130.
The chunky sweater I chose to feature 5 different ways is from H&M (shop HERE). They actually have quality, stylish and affordable sweaters! And so does Aerie and Old Navy, fyi.
I live in Southern California, so the weather allows for more style options with a sweater. If you’re on the East coast, your layering like crazy and styling might not be “as” important as warmth.
Hope you enjoy these different looks below and it inspires you to shop your closet! Just reminding you that I usually don’t buy many pieces every season unless I can find 3 to 5 ways to style it with my existing wardrobe.
Everything I’ve paired with this H&M sweater are pieces from closet not recently purchased. What inspired shopping my closet you ask? Here’s the story Click HERE.
